Independent review of chiropractic care in professional liability matters for plaintiff and defense counsel. Areas of review include evaluation, treatment, documentation, informed consent, and referral decisions. Services may include case assessment, written opinions, consultation with counsel, and deposition or trial testimony.
Medical necessity and utilization review
Evaluation of the clinical rationale, frequency, and duration of chiropractic care. Review considers documented findings, treatment response, functional progress, and the basis for continued care, changes in treatment, referral, or discharge. Services support insurers and legal counsel in assessing whether the care provided was supported by the available clinical information.
Chiropractic Standards of care
Review of whether chiropractic evaluation, treatment, monitoring, and referral decisions were consistent with applicable standards of care in the circumstances presented. Analysis considers the clinical records, information available to the treating chiropractor, relevant professional literature, and requirements pertinent to the matter.
personal injury and causation
Review of chiropractic care in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions and other reported injuries. Analysis considers the history, documented clinical findings, prior conditions, treatment course, and the relationship between the reported event and the conditions under review. Opinions address the supporting evidence, alternative explanations, and material limitations of the available information.
Fraud, Waste and Abuse review
Review of chiropractic records and claims for potential concerns involving medical necessity, documentation, coding, billing, and treatment patterns. Services assist insurers, legal counsel, and investigative organizations in evaluating discrepancies and determining whether billed services are supported by the available records.
Regulatory and professional conduct review
Consultation and review involving chiropractic professional ethics, boundaries, scope of practice, documentation, and licensing-board concerns. Services draw on clinical practice, prior regulatory service, and professional education experience to assess the conduct at issue and explain findings within the scope of the engagement.
